SUMMARY

Alaska Industrial Hardware, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Director of Marketing Operations.  Director of Marketing Operations will work closely with leadership team to lead company initiatives for company marketing advertising, social presence, and branding goals.  They will also oversee the marketing department, set yearly budgets, purchase media, and produce advertising and marketing pieces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As Director of Marketing Operations, you will lead our company’s marketing efforts. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning, and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company’s brand and the brands we service.

In addition, the Director of Marketing Operations will:

Develop and oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, digital marketing, strategy for new and existing products and PR.

Work closely with the company’s Sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials, and presentations.

Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.

Ensure that the marketing objectives and company branding are implemented by the marketing team.

Work closely with product management team to define marketing materials and programs.

Oversee and manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.

Develop and manage marketing operating budgets

and negotiates with media partners to guarantee advantageous contracts.

Plan and oversee advertising and promotional activities including print, online, electronic media, radio, television, and direct mail.

Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

Ensure branding consistency throughout all marketing materials, store signage and all collateral materials.

Actively participate in collection and use of Co-op funds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional overtime may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise the marketing team, including hiring, training, workloads, schedules, deadlines, and daily leadership.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check.  Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
