PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The incumbent will develop and execute overall downstream marketing strategies to meet commercial financial objectives for NxStage's Critical Care Business. A successful Director of Marketing must understand product technology and manage/participate in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to retain and grow renal replacement therapy share and profitability. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Own the strategic planning process to drive achievement of top and bottom-line goalsPrepare and maintain annual marketing plan (customer segmentation, product positioning, competitive intelligence, pricing/contract terms)Collaborate with Product Management to drive scope and cadence of product pipelineLead and manage the Global Scientific Advisory Board to achieve long term corporate vision Work with Speaker Bureau (Nephrologists, Intensivists) and KOLs to collaborate on developing clinical and economic claims to drive Renal Replacement Therapy expansionParticipate in recruiting and working with PR Agency to drive brand awareness and develop messaging campaignsUnderstand, synthesize, and communicate market conditions (e.g. needs of customers, competition, reimbursement) to drive the development of messaging cadenceWork with Marketing and Market Communications teams to develop and implement creative, agile sales tools and messaging to the field teamSupport Product Management in developing and executing new product pilots and product launches Engage Sales Operations, Legal and Finance functions to develop value-added customer programs to protect and grow revenue, operating incomeLead the planning and participate in driving the execution of tradeshow strategies (i.e. NTI, ASN)Collaborate with Clinical Education to align messaging with customer educational materialsCollaborate with Product Management to align upstream product development activities with downstream market needsDrive the development of content for bi-annual sales meetings through collaborating with Sales leadership and Product ManagementCoach and mentor team of marketers to ensure they meet or exceed business unit and professional growth goalsDevelop strong partnerships with Field Sales Team to share best practices that protect and grow existing accounts and accelerate new account adoption of renal replacement therapy Other duties as assigned.
