Position: Associate Director, Data Governance and Stewardship, Regulation and Legal Sensing (ref. #1579)

Duties: Use experience with: Data Protection and Privacy laws in the US and globally, legal interpretation, stakeholder management, project management to partner with various departments and collaborate with in-country Privacy leads and to promote and operationalize the Privacy and Data Protection policies and processes established by the office of Data Protection Office (DPO) across the company's functions and partners operating worldwide . Own and lead the Data Protection focused initiatives and programs at jurisdiction/global level in collaboration with in-country privacy leads, procurement, cybersecurity. Monitor and prioritize data protection changes impacting jurisdictions the company operates in and business processes linked to it. Contribute to the DPO roadmap and ensure implementation per objectives. Drive adoption of Data Protection and Privacy Policies, Processes and Standards, provide support, advice and guidance to the organization on their data protection obligations and responsibilities. Support with the design, development and maintenance of an ongoing awareness program through broader communication and focused training for employees and partners. Deal with queries from business areas on their ongoing activities and plans, provide consultation on protection regulation compliance and help identify potential solutions. Work under the direction of Data Protection Council to establish local procedures and data protection framework for the business functions that will embody local and global requirements. Coordinate with the enterprise Data Governance and Risk management teams and country level works councils to sustain data protection and privacy compliance. Support the management and coordination of periodic privacy reviews and remediation efforts. Coordinate with compliance and cyber-security personnel as needed to support integration of privacy, compliance, and security activities and operations. Implement corporate privacy strategy through integrated roadmap and solutions. Participate in privacy incident management and breach assessment and monitoring activities. Set clear directions and objectives that align with established privacy practices and policies. Work with global and local business process owners and functional leads to define privacy requirements and controls for all business programs and projects impaction. Represent the company's Office of the DPO in building and sustaining effective working relationship and communication with the representatives of Data Protection Authority.Develop training program for a regulation and drive its delivery and monitoring.
Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Law, Economics, and Management, International Private and Public Law, International Privacy Law or a related field plus 4 years of post-baccalaureate experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above.
