Job Summary

The Director, Sales Engineering is responsible for overseeing a Sales Engineering team focused on SMB and Large Enterprise customers for the Oregon / SW Washington Region. The SE team will support B2B salespeople and develop solutions for broadband data, video along with more complex solutions including High-Capacity Ethernet Networks, SDWAN, Managed Services (Router, Security, etc.), Internet and Advanced Voice Services. This role influences and integrates overall team strategy to meet and exceed company sales, revenue, customer experience and employee satisfaction goals. Creates and monitors the overall departmental budget and takes on process improvement initiatives as required to better support company goals.

Core Responsibilities


Enable salespeople to better propose and close technology driven business solutions.

Monitors team processes and procedures and makes necessary modifications to improve sales effectiveness and cycle time reduction.

Act as a subject matter expert for all **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Business Service's products and services.

Develops key leadership relationships to ensure the collaboration between the Sales Engineering team, National Engineering, Technical Operations, Construction and Finance.

Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in the marketplace.

Monitors the overall operating budget, adjusts team strategy as needed and accurately reports out to leadership on any budget issues.

Develops new strategies to be employed by the sales engineering team to meet company goals and objectives.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
