**A Day in the Life**
As a Senior Manager for ANZ and part of the wider APAC team, you will report to the Director of EHS and work with a highly respected team in Sydney.
You will be an energetic team player with a track record of working collaboratively to manage cross-functional, cross-business issues and generate impact through others. You will bring your superior business partnering and project management skills combined with demonstrated experience developing and executing an EHS strategy in a dynamic, highly matrixed organization!
Developing and leading the execution of the environmental, health and safety strategy for ANZ that ensures compliance with local regulatory requirements, Medtronic EHS Standards, mitigates risk and is aligned with APAC and Corporate EHS strategies, initiatives, and goals
Developing and implementing an EHS Management system to support the EHS strategy
Implementing a targeted risk management program that mitigates illness and injury risks, minimizes environmental impacts, and meets local regulatory requirements
Reporting on EHS performance to Executive leaders and ANZ Board within the risk management context
Engaging and influencing key stakeholders within the organization to drive EHS culture
Collaborating with leaders on EHS issues related to customer requests and implementation of key projects within ANZ
Supporting, coaching, and mentoring leaders while driving accountability for EHS performance in ANZ
**Must Haves:**
Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment
Demonstrated experience developing and executing an EHS strategy and risk reporting
Sound working knowledge of health and safety legislation in ANZ, EHS / Risk Management legislation and principles and EEO and anti-discrimination legislation and principles
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Occupational Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Safety Science, Safety Engineering with a minimum of 8 years experience
Bachelors degree qualification
Workplace assessment and training qualifications desirable
