Description
The Associate Director, Full Stack Engineering Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Associate Director, Full Stack Engineering requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Responsibilities
You have the unique opportunity to build a technology team from the ground-up leading digital transformation efforts in Digital Channels (web and mobile) space for one of the leading healthcare organizations. Reporting to Director of Digital Solutions and partnering with Enterprise Architecture and Retail Product teams, you will solve for the technology challenges around delivering omni-channel experiences and next generation AI/ML driven recommendation engines helping our members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
The Associate Director, Full Stack Engineering Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead full stack engineering teams responsible for building web and mobile applications for Humana's consumers as well as business partners
Maintains and fosters internal client relationships. Takes ownership of the relationship and ensures that clients' objectives are met.
Manage the team's labor and budgets including forecasts (labor and non-labor).
Provide leadership to a team of technology professionals, driving associate engagement initiatives, developing and managing talent, and leading change efforts
Collaborates with product managers and engineers to enable specify, design, development and implementation for new and existing web and mobile applications and associated data services.
Provide thought leadership to challenge/influence all levels across the organization to rethink routine, embrace cloud and modern engineering practices including agile adoption to provide highly resilient integrated experiences.
Drive technology roadmap, executes roadmap projects ensuring forward thinking architectural design using agile methodologies.
Possesses the ability to manage and grow talent, mentor associates, and help them grow by setting clear goals, action plans, training, and timely guidance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
At least 8 years of overall professional experience in leading development of large-scale enterprise software systems with strategic planning, resource planning, operations management, and budgeting
6 or more years of technical experience
3 or more years of IT Management experience
Broad understanding of Information Technology solutions including technologies, platforms, applications and capabilities
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Possesses the ability to manage and grow talent, mentor associates, and help them grow by setting clear goals, action plans, training, and timely guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
HealthCare industry experience
Working experience delivering digital solutions in a public cloud
