Description
The Director of Alternative Distribution will meet membership and growth targets by developing all non-broker channels of Humana's group sales distribution including Chamber/Association, PEO, and General Agent channels. The Director will also cultivate new technology partnerships that will advance our digital interoperability for distribution services. The Director will provide external partnership perspectives and insights that will inform the advancement of capabilities to improve sales performance, efficacy, and productivity while also driving competitive differentiation in the marketplace. The Director we are seeking will be a thought leader that will position Humana ahead of the competition with an easier, faster, more satisfying experience.
Responsibilities
Achieve segment sales, retention, and ending membership goals with key contribution by distribution partners
Lead a multi-channel distribution strategy that maximizes growth across the marketplace
Continuously evaluate and execute opportunities for cross-channel optimization to maximize the return on Humana's investment in distribution
Actively engage and partner with local market sales teams to achieve sales goals by cultivating unique partnerships that will provide alternate channel value
Establish and oversee the deployment of strategies to leverage alternate distribution channels at the national level
Cultivate technology partnerships that will advance Humana's digital distribution capabilities and efficiency
Optimize and formalize the execution of a go-to-market playbook for alternate distribution and technology
Develop an analytics-informed and market-specific strategy to optimize our alternate distribution channels to drive our segment growth
Oversee strategies aimed at fostering and strengthening Humana's relationships with distribution partners while leveraging a refreshed value proposition and evolving CRM capabilities
Create and oversee a formal feedback mechanism from partners to develop Humana capabilities for distribution success
Develop a prioritized inventory and framework of investments required to increase growth momentum
Serve as a subject-matter-expert for aggregate marketing opportunities, general agents, and technology to identify capability gaps in an end-to-end connected experience
Deliver a simple and positive experience for Humana's agents, partners, and employer customers
Train the sales team to maximize our distribution partnerships within their role and local market work
Hire and retain A-player talent
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years medical, dental, vision or life sales experience including a measurable track record of sales success
Deep knowledge of the health insurance industry
Proven track-record of attracting talent and leading high-performing teams, directly or indirectly
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with brokers, consultants, employer groups, and partners
Exceptional presentation and communication skills
Viewed as adaptable and professional when collaborating with key stakeholders
Ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed structure
History of initiating and managing change effectively
Ability to live Humana's Values, with a particular focus on Rethinking Routine
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree
Strong understanding of PEO or PEO experience
Life and/or health license
Additional Information:
Travel up to 50%
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
