Profile

Oversight of all aspects of the data collection, analysis, reporting, and storage systems employed in the Automated Track Inspection Program.  Design, fabricate, test, install, maintain, and upgrade onboard measurement electrical equipment and office data management systems; configuration and documentation control; operator training and technical support; compliance with applicable federal IT security controls; ad hoc data analysis and reporting; and management of special projects and creation of procedures.  Approximately 25% travel to railroad sites throughout the U.S.  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with 3 years of systems engineering experience, which included electrical, mechanical, software, and signal processing aspects of complex hardware/software systems.  3 years of project management skills, including requirements definition, financial management, scheduling, leading technical teams, customer relations, and compliance with contractual provisions are necessary.  3 years of experience with railroad inspection and measurement systems and/or railroad maintenance, troubleshooting systems comprised of electrical, mechanical, and software components, data collection systems, and inertial and optical sensors.  US Citizenship or Green Card holder. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s Applied Technology and Engineering (ATE) Division is a leading provider of surface transportation research and technology development services with a long history of supporting railway, transit, and highway safety initiatives.
