Position Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years’ solid technology experience
• Proven track record of success in helping to solve significant, technology-related business problems
• Excellent system requirement analysis, prototype and documentation skills
• Experience in software development life cycle project management
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences at a variety of organizational levels
• Strong collaboration skills and a successful track record working with executives and cross-functional teams
• Ability to facilitate negotiation and build consensus or alignment amongst competing parties, ultimately driving teams to decision
• Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively, and propose solutions that address expressed needs
• Ability to identify and mitigate risk
• Experience in vendor evaluation, gap analysis, and prove-of-concept
• Experience in test planning and execution
• A self-starter with the ability to establish priorities and meet aggressive deadlines and manage multiple engagement concurrently, and work independently with general supervision
• Experience in guiding the work of peer team members
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs including MS Project, MS Excel and MS Visio
• Experience in the financial services (brokerage) industry a plus
• Experience in data profile or analysis a plus
• Experience with principles of usability for the web is a plus
• Experience with Salesforce a plus
Job Description:
• Manage end-to-end project delivery process. Plan and achieve project requirements, schedule, activities, tests, etc., keeping project on schedule
• Ensure execution of project activities by coordinating task assignments with end users, technology staff, and other teams as necessary
• Establish and balance priorities and activities between simultaneously progressing projects
• Troubleshoot and track project issues, communicating with end users and escalating if required; manage issues to a timely resolution
• Work closely with business users to discern and establish functional, detailed and clear system requirement documents, while maintaining a focus on the “big picture”
• Discover not only the “what” but also the “why” through requirement analysis
• Maintain traceability of the requirements through the lifecycle of the project
• Mock-up, review, and recommend changes to, and validate user interface design to ensure compliance with requirements, functional specifications, and technical design.
• Work with the QA team to establish proper and thorough test cases
• Manage and oversee deployment rollouts
• Provide regular updates to the manager on project activities and status; raise risks and issues
• Provide accurate estimates for tasks
• Support and improve existing processes
