JOB SUMMARY
*Works collaboratively with system and department services and the Clinical Advancement and Patient Safety (CAPS) team to ensure continuous compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations. *Oversees and directs, with management collaboration, the Department of Medicine's quality plan that aligns with the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. mission and the department's mission to provide the best possible care to our patients, gaining knowledge through research that improves our practices, and educates the next generation of medical physicians and clinicians. *Uses outcomes data and analysis, technology and process management methodology to lead, develop and support Medicine Quality and Performance Improvement (QA,/QI, PI) initiatives. Employs a systematic, coordinated, and continuous approach to optimize clinical outcomes and to advance patient safety. *Works collaboratively with system and department services and the Clinical Advancement and Patient Safety (CAPS) team to ensure continuous compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations. *Supports the successful achievement and maintaining of department/hospital accreditation/certifications using applicable standards.  *Leads interdisciplinary teams and works synergistically with leaders to establish goals and objectives and develop strategic plans for achieving those goals and objectives.  *Ensures that data collection and reports support system and department quality monitoring efforts. *Employs technology, data analysis and quality improvement methodology to identify, analyze, and drive quality improvement processes and initiatives at the departmental and section levels. *Lead efforts that design, implement, integrate, facilitate, streamline and evaluate quality processes for the Medicine Department to improve patient quality and operational and patient quality outcomes. Performs work duties primarily in a normal office environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance project collaboration. Previous experience in project management with responsibility for leadership of large projects preferred. Acute hospital experience with proven performance improvements in quality, outcomes, and system processes.

LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATION:  None required. Certification in Quality preferred.

OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Must satisfactorily complete orientation processes. Demonstrates excellent problem solving, interpersonal, communication, priority setting and work competency skills. Promotes a respectful, inclusive culture of service excellence with all members of the team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills in a highly matrixed business environment. Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a customer focused philosophy of service delivery. Demonstrated project management skills. Must demonstrate understanding of operational and human resources management.
