The Resident Director (RD) is a 12 month, live-in, professional staff member responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of a first-year or sophomore residence hall. This includes, but is not limited to, supervising and developing staff that as a team purposefully develop residents, informing residents about community news and announcements, supporting residents in their academic and co-curricular pursuits, mediating roommate conflicts, adjudicating possible policy violations, and providing administrative oversight to their building. Additionally, the RD will provide leadership and direction to their Residence Hall Council, and serve on department or divisional committees as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Required; Masters' Degree preferred;
1-3 years' experience in residence life/student affairs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of residential facilities, services and programs of Hall Government;
Strong interpersonal/human relations/supervisory skills in relationship to college students;

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 25-49% (pound: 15 lbs.)
