Finance Advisor Brazil
What’s the purpose
The Finance Advisor serves as the face of Finance for opportunities or challenges prioritized based on value and risk. They are responsible for the delivery of Finance capability required to support a set of clearly defined business outcomes across multiple activities/assets.
As a Finance Advisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Deliver the full suite of Finance support (including tax, treasury, accounting and structuring) autonomously and coordinate the involvement of Global Center of Expertise above pre-agreed thresholds
Independently ensure that a proper functioning control framework is in place and that risks are properly understood, reflected, and managed
Independently ensure value and risks are made transparent and understood in both decisions making and in performance management.
A fit for purpose performance management system is in place
Brings new proposals of high value activities to the Pool Manager who decides on the resource allocation. Actively look for opportunities to reduce nonvalue adding Finance activity (“demand management”)
Maximize use of shared service center in delivery of processes
Requirements
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Candidate must have minimum 4 (four) years working experience in in senior financial planning or commercial finance roles or in any relevant role
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Production Engineer, or related. or any related Very strong finance skills, particularly in valuation, financial statement analysis, and understanding the end-to-end implications of business activities from multiple lenses such as accounting, taxation, treasury, and risk
Strong commercial acumen and business partnering focus
Ability to effective work with shared service centers.
Strong communication skills and effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with others, including colleagues around the globe; stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
Problem solving mindset with the courage to ensure professional financial rigor is applied to commercial decision-making process and risk management bringing analytics and insights to the table
Prioritize activity/deliverables based on value and associated risks
Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
