Description

The Contingent Labor Category Lead generates and implements efficient sourcing and category management strategies for non-clinical Contingent Labor and Recruiting Services across the enterprise. The Contingent Labor Category Lead will report directly to the Associate Director in Enterprise Procurement & Supplier Management (EPSM), supporting, developing, and implementing process and sourcing initiatives Additionally, this position will play a critical role in establishing a broader Total Talent Management Strategy, support enterprise workforce planning, and serve as a liaison between HR and EPSM. The individual selected for this role will be expected to build relationships with suppliers, senior business stakeholders, and will work cross-functionally to proactively identify value creation opportunities, innovative solutions, and continuous improvement, enabling business strategies for the enterprise via the Supply Strategy Council.

Job Description


Collaborates cross-functionally with stakeholders to develop and implement an enterprise strategy that supports enterprise goals and objectives.
Partners with Contingent Labor Category Management, Contingent Workforce Operations, & MSP team(s) to evaluate industry/business trends for potential impact on the organization; identifies key business opportunities and potential threats to the organization.
Proactively identifies opportunities and builds internal alignment needed to implement solutions.
Plays critical role in the development of the Total Talent Management Strategy, building a pipeline of opportunities and alignment with stakeholders.
Leads sourcing events and vendor contract negotiations.
Gathers and interprets relevant data to assess vendor spend, productivity, demand patterns, etc.
Delivers results when faced with ambiguity & roadblocks.
Ability to use data and people skills to influence stakeholders to take action.
Develops deep understanding of the MSP Program, demonstrating the ability to clearly articulate the value proposition to business stakeholders.


Required Qualifications


5-7 years experience in procurement, contingent labor, or staffing
Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arises
Experience in developing strategy and presenting business cases to Senior Leaders
Experience with Vendor Management Systems (e.g., Beeline, Fieldglass)
Solid public speaking, and negotiation skills required
Strong financial and business acumen required
Proven ability to speak with and work across all levels of the business
Proficient in Microsoft products (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Powerpoint, etc.)
Ability to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from multi-faceted and often ambiguous data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to motivate project team members and stakeholders to meet established deadlines
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight
Meticulous and critical thinker
Effectiveness in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Must be able to work Eastern Time Zone business hours


Preferred Qualifications


Demonstrated analytical skills: ability to research and make efficient use of resources to achieve effective business results
Understanding of major sourcing processes, supplier, and customer interface
Experience managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously in a timely and professional manner; ability to transfer lessons learned into new processes; flexibility in job focus
