Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking, and engaging Digital and Social Media Manager to the join the Office of Marketing & Communications. The Digital and Social Media Manager is responsible for:
The planning, execution, and assessment of the College's digital and social media communications.
Scheduling and producing engaging, relevant, professional content for the College's social media sites for targeted audiences, as well as providing oversight and training to all SUNY Delhi affiliated site managers.
Designing and executing paid digital and social media ads and campaigns, working closely with all College departments, and support efforts in paid, earned, and owned media to elevate the reputation of our College.
Maintaining and enhancing the College's engaging and positive online presence, and continuously monitor and respond to messages/posts in a professional and timely manner.
The manager is a team player, who will work collaboratively with the other members of the Marketing and Communications team, assisting with a variety of projects and assignments as needed in a fast-paced work environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in marketing, communication, digital media, or related field.
Experience managing social media efforts for an organization with proven measurable success, using web, social media, and email analytics to gain insight and develop new strategies.
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Must have the ability to adapt tone and style of writing to varying audiences.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and how each can be strategically deployed.
Creative, logical, organized, detail and service oriented, professional, and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced office setting.

Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call after regular business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education, especially within admissions, alumni affairs, communications/marketing, or student development (residence life, student activities, etc.).
Advanced education and training (master's degree or advanced certifications) related to communications, marketing and/or digital media.
2 years of direct experience managing social media on behalf of an organization that serves multiple stakeholders and has a broad audience.
Photography and videography skills with finished products used for professional communications, including experience with photo and video editing software.
Experience writing stories that serve and engage multiple audiences.
Knowledge of search engine optimization and best practices for web content.
Experience designing and implementing paid social media or digital advertising campaigns.
Strong understanding of Facebook's business and ads manager platforms, experience in Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social platforms' ads managers.
Additional Information:
Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant, SL-3
12 month position
Work Schedule: Full-Time including evenings, and weekends
Reports to: Vice President College Relations
