Construction Manager
A thriving commercial design build construction firm with corporate medical/healthcare projects is looking for a highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee projects in the Houston, TX to Austin, TX area. Travel between multiple job sites will be required.
Construction Manager will work with the Project Manager on project execution and is responsible for executing the daily job plan.
Construction Manager should have 5 years of supervisory experience for $500,000 commercial construction projects. Medical construction experience a plus. Job Requirements:
Highlighted Duties:
Coordinate schedule to complete project on time (with subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, etc.)
Work closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to execute and update project plans
Monitor quality control throughout project
Efficiently communicate with project team and subcontractors-- identify and resolve issues when needed
Meet job site safety and compliance requirements working with inspectors
Maintain a daily written log for project job site
Travel between multiple job sites managing work loads
Maintain job sites to standards for waste disposal and environmental protection
Highlighted Requirements:
5 years supervisory experience for commercial construction projects
Medical/healthcare construction experience a plus
Technical aptitude and comprehension needed for procedure manuals, architectural/mechanical plans and drawings
Customer service mindset with clients while working on requests and sometimes creative solutions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Project management software experience a plus (company uses Smart Sheets)
Business writing and editing experience (reports and correspondence for clients and vendors, etc.)
Excellent oral, listening, influence, and interpersonal skills
Extensive travel within Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas) required working with a remote administrative office
