The Multi-Channel Commerce (MCC) team at Best Buy is responsible for the tools and systems that facilitate the pricing & promotions of products and creation & capture of purchases across our Digital channels including BestBuy.com, the Best Buy app, In Home Checkout and external marketplaces like Amazon, eBay and Google. As a Sr. Engineering Manager - Multi-Channel Commerce

, you will be leading a high-performance engineering team of backend and front-end engineers, business system analysts, and QA Engineering. You will be partnering with various product, UX and business stakeholders, as well as operational teams at BBY to deliver innovative solutions that will help deliver great customer outcomes at internet scale. This demands thorough understanding of modern presentation technologies (including web and React Native), backend integration patterns, SOA and cloud-native architecture.

Leading, coaching, and inspiring a team of engineers, system analysts and QA Engineers while creating an inclusive team culture that enables all members of the product teams to succeed

Transforming teams from a project mindset towards a product mindset

Proficiency troubleshooting system issues, fix software defects and supporting a highly distributed production system

Minimum Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

1 or more years managing and/or leading engineering teams

4 or more years of experience as software developer in standard web technologies

4 or more years of experience as software developer in Java, Javascript, Node, or other Object-Oriented language

Preferred Qualifications:

7 or more years of relevant professional experience

Experience with full stack of modern web technologies and frameworks (React, ES6-7, Webpack, Node, Java, Groovy etc.)

Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, OpenStack, Rackspace cloud, etc.)

Experience working with Java, Groovy, Spring, SQL, Cassandra, message queues.

Knowledge of and working experience with open-source software as well as networks, security, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components

Proficiency with UNIX/Linux command line

Experience in test driven development, continuous integration and deployment practices

Experience with micro service development that produce/consume REST APIs
