Description
The Manager of Sales Administration (MSA), Virginia/Maryland/Delaware/Washington DC Market, MarketPOINT Sales, is directly responsible for the administration, compliance and overall support of the market to assist with the sale, acquisition and retention of customers. The role leads a team of 3-4 administrative support/office coordinators, and directly interacts with and supports the director of the market as well as the field leadership team comprised of 6 Senior Market Managers, 2 Broker Relationship Managers, and 1-2 Sales and Marketing Support Executive(s). While the overall success of the market is measured in terms of sales, accretion, retention and growth of Humana membership, success in this role is measured in terms of its support of these overarching goals (see below for examples of this). This role requires the leader to interact with various individuals within Humana/MarketPOINT, regional and market-level leadership, and other MSA's across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
The Sale Administration Manager's primary function is to support the sales teams, coordinate market activities, and manage market offices including Humana Neighborhood Center location(s). Examples of support include such things as adhering to DOI, CMS, Humana, and MarketPOINT regulatory and compliance measures, policy awareness/implementation, customer inquiries and/or complaints, agent/associate onboarding, pay and pay audits, AEP planning, materials ordering, handbook preparation, meeting planning and coordination, etc. The role also oversees operations and procedures at one Humana Neighborhood Center location and three other market office locations/spaces. Additionally, it provides direction and guidance to office staff and market leaders for recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training of associates.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
Life and Health Insurance licenses for Virginia (or ability to obtain or transfer)
Valid Virginia driver's license and proof of liability insurance (min = 100/300/100 limits)
3 years of industry experience
Proficiency with MS Office products and aptitude for technology/analysis
Leadership experience/skills/ability:
Leading a team to achieve goals/targets
Building intra-departmental relationships
Preparing, tracking and managing budgets
Excellent public speaking/presenting, communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
High level of self-motivation; ability to accomplish goals independently
Passion for contributing to market sales/growth, team culture, and associate/consumer experience
Flexibility to travel within the VA/MD/DE/DC market, and from time-to-time to various locations as required by Humana MarketPOINT.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in a business-related field, e.g. MBA, Finance, Marketing, Communication, etc.
Project Management Certification and/or other technical certificates
Insurance and/or sales support experience
Preferred (but not required) residence or ability to relocate to Glen Allen/Richmond, VA
