THE POSITION

The Corporate Strategy Team is a crucial partner working with LendingTree’s leadership to drive long-term strategic growth through three major areas:

Develop high impact enterprise strategies in partnership with product/functional leads to drive growth.

Independently deep dive on high-impact sophisticated problems that can have substantial impact on customer experience, revenue and costs.

Establish clear governance and seamless execution, closely monitor progress, and communicate results widely to build momentum

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build on your proven leadership skills and use your interest in encouraging others, building strong relationships, and crafting a followership.

In a collaborative team setting, you'll work closely with others but also autonomously with little direction. Your outstanding analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills will ensure successful project delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate where LendingTree resources are best used to execute against the long-term strategic goals

Develop thoughtful, strategic recommendations for exciting and ambiguous questions and issues

Evaluate LendingTree’s current and future product, customer and geographical strategic roadmap and define potential opportunities and risks

Identify, initiate, and drive critical initiatives that position LendingTree to grow by quickly finding opportunities, gaps and tradeoffs

Collaborate with Senior leadership to improve LendingTree’s position in the industry

Observe, understand and provide strategic thought leadership on industry trends and think proactively in how changes could potentially impact LendingTree’s overall strategy

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Hypothesis-driven problem structuring and ability to deal with high level of ambiguity.

Ability to dive into data and generate quantitative and qualitative insights; paint the path to execution

Ability to think about problems through first principles thinking and communicating in the same way

Need to be able to work across teams and contexts to solve all aspects of customer and partner problems.

High degree of sensitivity to context and be able to work well with a broad range of people. From senior executives to contact center associates

High bias for action where you will get to the right answer by iterating, failing fast and converging on the right solution

Passion for technology combined deep curiosity where you are constantly challenging your thinking and assumptions to make sure we are on the right path

QUALIFICATIONS

5-10 years relevant work experience with management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, etc.), private equity or top-tier tech strategy or “bizops” functions (Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc.)

Highly quantitative and analytically driven. Able to independently collect data, execute on complex analyses with highest quality and rigor

Effective verbal and written communication - ability to easily connect with both business and technical discussions with senior audiences

Experience in establishing relationships and leading through influence

Experience managing complex projects

Great teammate, willing to passionately roll up their sleeves and work cross-functionally to get things done

Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with minimal direction
