The Procrurement Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality purchasing services in accordance with defined procedures to ensure proper quantity, quality and timing. The Procurement Manager directs Procurement Specialists, ensuring transactions are synchronized to fully support the manufacturing and any other function in compliance with procurement procedures, and ensuring procurement transactions are completed within agreed terms and conditions seeking maximum value for the company including agreed time and cost. The position contributes to continuous improvement and knowledge management of purchasing processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement team which is responsible for Direct and Indirect Spend for the center (with the exception of Facilities).
Ensure items and services are purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions.
Be Accountable for purchase order (PO) processing & Approval for Oracle sites
Support user in purchase request definition when needed.
Define the correct buying channel for each request, and choose the best supplier in terms of price, quality and lead time.
Ensure that team issues PO correctly (i.e., BORG info, currencies, quantity, etc.), and follow up on issues related to PO creation.
Ensure efficient dispatch of supplier POs on time and according to standards.
Support Procurement specialist when Senior knowledge is required.
Manage day-to-day interactions with suppliers and Procurement Specialist.
Solve any issues that might arise during the Procure-2-Pay Cycle.
Escalate complex issues to Supply Chain Manager and Category where needed.
Perform continuous improvement and knowledge management.
Perform problem solving for noncomplex issues with operations users.
Trigger catalog and buying guide updates when required.
Propose documentation changes and process improvements as required.
Track deviations and raise nonconformances in QUEST & QB.
Use procurement tools as required or mandated by the process (SAP, ORACLE, Ariba, ASL, QUEST).
Setup and Maintain local tools to assist with the Procure-2-Pay cycle.
Support through escalation any AP related issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma.
10 years of relevant experience.
Understanding of full Procure-2-Pay Cycle
Experience in Procurement & Sourcing Processes
Supplier Management experience would be beneficial.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
