Director of Alternative Risk Transfer & InnovationWe currently have a career opportunity for a Director of Alternative Risk Transfer & Innovation driving key broking strategies, with specific focus on Alternative Risk Transfer & Innovation. This individual has strong technical broking skills as well as communication skills needed to work closely with producers, account executives, broking leaders, office leaders, and carrier executives. The Director of Alternative Risk Transfer & Innovation will be an integral part of the Strategic Solutions & Innovation Practice who will actively build out and scale Aon capabilities by collaborating across the Enterprise Client Group, Aon Broking practice groups, Aon Global Risk Consulting, New Ventures Group, Aon Reinsurance, and Aon Securities. They will engage with insurance companies and other capital providers to bring innovative alternative risk transfer solutions to market. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Business or related field required. MBA, FSAA, CPA, or CRMP preferredMinimum of 5 years of broking, account management, and/or insurance experience required.Experience in enterprise risk finance, alternative risk transfer and/or captive solutions preferred. Strong organizational and communication skillsStrong analytical skills with ability to provide insight and recommendationsAbility to work in a complex matrix environment with functional, business, and geographic leaders RESPONSIBILITIESThe leader will be responsible for driving execution of the Alternative Risk Transfer strategic initiatives, which will include some combination of the following responsibilities depending on experience: Collaborate with Commercial Risk clients and Aon colleagues to develop new value-generating ideas and alternatives to traditional risk transfer approaches, intended to facilitate client decision making, help navigate volatility, and effectively match capital to risk.Engages with AE’s and Brokers throughout the renewal process to uncover unique, but significant challenges that warrant consideration of an alternative risk transfer solutionSupports the execution of Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) transactions and implements processes to fulfill ongoing client delivery expectationsIn partnership with insurers, other capital providers and Aon colleagues, collaborate on Alternative Risk Transfer solution development, and develop strategies to incubate and bring the solutions to clients.Drives the execution of Commercial Risk priorities including strategic solutions and innovation, thought leadership, and the adoption of risk analytics (e.g., RFDP/NextGen) and related tools. Coordinates with the North American Strategic Risk Finance and ART teams that will lead product innovation, the development of purpose-driven solutions, and the coordination of strategic risk consulting recommendations. Cultivates relationships with Enterprise Client Group (ECG) clients and ECG account executivesSupports and/or leads DAU processes through the contribution to large RFP project responses.Works with other Aon teams (e.g. Affinity and other teams focused on innovation) to identify opportunities to develop Aon-specific MGA’s and similar aggregation vehicles and concepts.
