SUMMARY
GPS, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Project Manager (PM) to manage and oversee operations at the El Paso Service Processing Center (EPC). The Project Manager is primarily responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of all aspects of the contract to meet the cost objectives with respect to detention operations, scheduling, purchasing, budget, training, and upholding the highest standards of performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee the administration and supervision of Federal detainees, ensuring the union contract staff observe all rights and privileges in accordance with contract, PBNDS, ACA and other required standards
Act as primary liaison with ICE Officials and meeting as necessary to promote operational efficiency
Prepare monthly report to the COR on accomplishments/issues/staffing changes etc.
Monitor staff attendance and scheduling to ensure there are no open posts and to minimize OT
Review disciplinary recommendations from Shift/Operational Supervisors, as well as from the HR teams and coordinate with corporate entities for implementation
Coordinating with all leadership in all disciplinary matters that may affect security clearances
Counseling employees on performance deficiencies as necessary
Reporting Operational, Administrative, and Logistical issues to Operations Manager
Creating and distributing memos to all staff concerning safety awareness, hazard abatement and performance issues.
Oversee and ensure all training is completed and accurately recorded in preparation of audits and inspections
Oversee preparation of monthly training topics/information and testing for all staff
Ensure all in-service is completed per PBNDS and submitted to the COR as necessary
Ensure staff credentials are not expired and coordinate all renewals
Complete yearly evaluation of the supervisory personnel
Reviews all yearly staff evaluations
Reviews all incidents and accidents and ensure documentation to the COR
GPS PREA Coordination with gov’t representatives
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience working in supervisory roles with prisons and/or detention centers
Experience directing, training, scheduling, and motivating personnel
Must be able to obtain and maintain all clearances and identification requirements
Understanding of federal contractor requirements and ability to adhere and manage
Experience working with and managing union personnel
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Self-motivated
Excellent communications skills, oral and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to give and receive direction and follow up to ensure personnel meet contract requirements
Flexibility in required duties
Must be able to handle stress and work in high pressure environments
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in fast paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, with customers, and with high level VIPs
Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information
Preferred
Experience directly managing prison operations or federal detention centers under DHS

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

Hires and supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
