Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of the FSQA Department at the plant. This requires investigation and response to quality related customer complaints; ensuring all Tyson Food Safety and Quality Assurance policies and procedures are followed; ensuring finished product conforms to customer and product specifications; monitoring, verification and documentation associated with adherence to government regulations. Specific responsibilities may include: developing, implementing and maintaining the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)-based inspection programs; supervising QA Technicians to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality control procedures; interacting with customers and their agents for product showings, plant tours and audits, visits to customer facilities, and initial product runs. Other responsibilities involve monitoring microbiological results; conducting bacterial swabs; generating shelf-life/environmental graphs; resolving internal and external customer quality concerns. Other duties include performing research and development activities, conducting and promoting sanitation training and education to Team Members, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field, normally acquired through a Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to the job.Experience: 3 plus years.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, for example, generating simple letters, spreadsheets, and creating simple queries.Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.Travel: 1 plus trips per year.
