Key Responsibilities and Major Duties (estimated % time allocation)
People Management (15%)
Hire, develop and retain team of full time employees and contractors
Monitor and evaluate team's effectiveness and success
Continually maintain close communication channels with team, resolving issues and offering coaching and guidance when needed
Foster an inclusive workplace where employees seek to partner effectively, build trust, drive innovation and exceed expectations
Global Training Strategy Development and Implementation (35%)
Worldwide Centers of Excellence: Create requirements, the strategy, and the execution plan for multiple enterprise platforms for training and support globally, including, but not limited to:
Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom: Provide worldwide oversight and sustainment of virtual training in 30 markets.
Pull-Through and Reinforcement: Centralize, support, and consult on all training event pull-through and report metrics.
Innovation Services: Centralize requests for new technology, services, AR/MR, and updated strategy procedures for Learning & Development.
Operations and Service: Oversee and support all training SharePoint sites and learning management content, its expiry, and upgrades.
Enterprise Learning Roadmap: Drive integration of the Project Orion commercial learning initiative into the enterprise learning strategy. Also partner with other business units to gather their requirements as inputs to overall strategy.
Training Development and Delivery: Direct teams and manage vendor service agreements to maintain and deliver training for core applications and administrative services for field sales worldwide.
Content Management: Drive strategy for all training materials within the LMS, SharePoint, and Inkling.
Application Administration: Responsible for LMS and Inkling Administration.
Technology Innovation (10%)
Represent Commercial business on enterprise-wide focus groups and initiatives focused on enhancing innovation and technological capabilities across the organization.
Participates as a member of enterprise learning council and actively influences learning strategy
Participate on the Innovation Acceleration team, a global effort to share innovative practices.
Matrix Team Management (20%)
Works effectively with partners and matrix team members including: WCC partners, IT, Facilities Team, Global Procurement, Learning Organization across departments.
Serves as a technology SME for content management, training, and technology innovation.
Provides strategic and functional leadership to develop, update and maintain applicable policies and procedures for content management, virtual learning, and technology innovation
Manages escalation process where necessary, including root cause identification, risk assessment and optimum problem resolution, engaging with key stakeholders and SMEs as appropriate.
Works with Global Procurement regarding selection of and contracting with vendors.
Budget Management (10%)
Responsible for building and managing multimillion dollar budget annually
Identifies areas to achieve synergy goals and savings for the organization
Works with market training leaders to prepare budget requests and business plans to present to stakeholders
Vendor Management (10%)
Manages vendor performance including but not limited to vendor training, measurement of service level agreements (SLAs), and adherence to BMS policies and industry standards.
Facilitates collaboration and coordination of vendor services across BMS stakeholders.
Identifies and incorporates internal BMS and vendor best practices to proactively develop and implement seamless execution and delivery of Technology Training Solutions activities.
