The Robotics Business Development Manager is a position accountable for developing the global marketing strategy, building the opportunity pipeline, and delivering bookings/revenue growth for the assigned portfolio and business line. As well, this position is responsible for the market assessment and pricing for the introduction of the product or service as part of the new product development process and field deployment. The Robotics Business Development Manager owns and leads the pursuit of portfolio related opportunities from early engagement to tender or proposal submission with focus on closure and develops/enforces agreed business models with other groups, as needed. This position also owns responsibilities for the execution of the robotics-related service/product/business portfolio jobs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Participates in the creation and implementation of the marketing/sales plan for all aspects of robotics and the Midstream Production Systems portfolio.
Provides support to the sales, commercial and marketing teams within the domains of the assigned business.
Identify new business opportunities - new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing markets, for the assigned service/product/business.
Promote portfolio value proposition and business offerings internally and externally.
Participates in the opportunity management process for critical opportunities.
Leads the development of proposal strategies/content/commercial models, both base and alternative cases.
Coordinate the technical, operational, commercial and legal risk mitigation/support/reviews for all proposals.
Lead proposal/tender management reviews to obtain alignment and approval before proposal submission.
Participate in customer proposal/contract negotiations, as needed.
Other Responsibilities as required:
Assist with external promotion/marketing
Assist with business models and pricing strategy
Assist with identifying and maintaining partnerships as a part of technical collaboration activities
Assist with managing business content for new product development efforts
Qualifications and Experience:
BA or BS degree preferred in engineering or computer science.
5 years of combined technical and sales experience
Exposures (one or multiple):
Robotics
Oilfield valves or processing equipment (e.g. oil treaters, acid gas membranes, pre-treatment systems, MEG, TEG, compressors, seawater systems, etc.)
Excellent opportunity management skills, with an ability to juggle many tasks and opportunities simultaneously yet close opportunities quickly and thoroughl
Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be comfortable with both in-person and video/audio conferences
Strategic thinker able to execute tactically and efficiently in a well-organized manner, with strong documentation skills
Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements
Proactive attitude and quick aptitude for learning new methods, strategies and technologies
Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated, as well as collaborating in a team environment
