Description
The Associate Director, Content Development oversees and coordinates the development of strategic and creative writing services to effectively represent the organizations Medicaid products, services, brands and/or the organization to customers and prospects. The Associate Director, Content Development requires a solid understanding of how a Medicaid organization's capabilities interrelate across departments and how to structure and present proposal content in a manner that will ultimately result in the award of state Medicaid contracts.
Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Content Development oversees and supports the Content Development Leads in applying various writing and presentation strategies to create an impression, raise awareness, and encourage a preference in the organization's responses to state RFP/RFI/RFAs. The Associate Director, Content Development will interface with and influence senior leaders and SMEs across the Humana organization to collaboratively identify compelling and innovative solutions to present in our proposals in response to RFP/RFI/RFAs for state Medicaid contracts. Also responsible for managing and ensuring the proposal content database (content guides) are updated as the organizations Medicaid programs and services evolve.
Responsible for ensuring the Content Development Leads' responses demonstrate that our customers' perspectives are reflected through Humana's strategic vision and capabilities to deliver a compelling and successful response. The Associate Director, Content Development is responsible for reviewing and providing constructive and strategic direction on the Content Development Leads' responses.
Must have demonstrated experience creating and overseeing content for very large and complex bids and experience managing multiple proposals at a time. Willingness to work extended hours and support team members in meeting deadlines as necessary. Proofreading skills, acute attention to detail, and ability to handle demanding, deadline-driven situations. Must be very dependable and possess exceptional customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
6 years of technical writing experience
3 years of writing/developing Medicaid proposals
2 years of management experience
Independent self-starter and extremely detail-oriented
Work well in a fast-paced team environment with an agile, iterative design process
Ability to work as part of a team with graphics designers, UI designers, web developers, and others
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
