Description

Associate Director, Enterprise API Engineering is a pivotal role in leading the technology transformation efforts focused on building platform and framework capabilities for API development across the enterprise. This role will work closely with Architecture and Engineering leaders throughout the organization to facilitate standards-based engineering practices by providing tools, capabilities and frameworks that enable other engineering teams..

Responsibilities

Lead engineering of shared tools, capabilities and frameworks that enable federated Enterprise API development

Lead engineering of an enterprise developer experience, API provisioning automation and API analytics dashboards

Lead development of advanced test automation frameworks and capabilities

Evaluate integration and API Management products; provide best practices support for approved integration and gateway products

Lead and coach others towards enablement of contemporary engineering and agile practices

Drive improvement in the velocity, scale, and sophistication of engineering solutions

Required Qualifications:

10 years of experience in enterprise software engineering leadership roles

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field required

Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure

Experience with poly-cloud environments, cloud services, and platform software

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and building-trusting relationships with stake holders

Experience working with mission critical systems

Ability to apply the principles of analytical and critical thinking skills and other professional practices to diagnose or define problems, collect data and solve abstract problems with widespread unit or organizational impact

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative and agile environment

Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

Prior management or team leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

MS or higher in an engineering discipline, information systems or a related discipline

Experience defining technology standards and building frameworks/tools for adoption and governance

Knowledge of applicable healthcare data privacy practices and laws

Additional Information:

LI#Remote

This position is a US-based remote role

Travel would include 2 - 3 days a month if not in the Louisville or DC area
