The Director of Order to Cash Global Process Owner will be a key member of the Order Management, Revenue Accounting and Accounts Receivable team and will report directly to the Senior Director of Revenue and Order Management.

The person in this role should have a desire to learn and analyze end to end process flow of; order management and entry, credit approval, revenue approval and accounting, accounts receivable and cash collection. Have a background in Hardware, Software and SaaS business models. Possess strong leadership and managerial skills. This role will interact cross functionally with multiple business owners and be part of the finance leadership.

Order to Cash Global Process Owner

Existing end to end flow

Collaborate with order to cash business owners to understand and document existing end to end policy, process and system flow for the various revenue streams.

Maintain and update end to end flow, highlighting cross functional roles and responsibilities, interdependencies, hand offs, control points, system integrations and accounting entries.

Sox design, monitoring and remediation

Maintain rationalization and design of sox controls and evidence of controls over the order to cash function.

Assist in sox documentation including control matrices, risk assessment analyses, process flow/narratives and walkthrough scripts.

Partner with business owners, Internal Audit and External Auditors through the year to tackle top initiatives, any issues identified, and remediation plans.

Process Optimization

Ability to identify gaps, areas of improvement in efficiency and redundancies to enable function to scale.

Provide recommendations and proposals to eliminate unnecessary complexities, standardize core processes and eliminate low value work.

Align cross functional responsibilities, accountability and reduce silos.

Provide recommendations to leverage technology such as ERP, data standards, analytics, and reporting.

Perform benchmarking analyses of best in class and cost benefit analyses of proposed solutioning over policy, process, and system.

Provide detailed process, policy and system recommendations, implementation planning, design and tracking of opportunity road map.

Automation

Provide assessments and recommendation of automation of manual process and high touch areas.

Represent the order to cash functions in project and system designs for existing workstreams and company initiatives and go to market strategies.

Project manage and provide requirements for the order to cash function in designated projects.

Project Initiatives

Represent the order to cash functions in project and system designs for existing workstreams and company initiatives and go to market strategies.

Project manage and provide requirements for the order to cash function in designated projects and system implementations.

Coordinate and track end to end testing plans, execution, and results.

Provide enablement and training for policy, process, and system enhancements.

Provide executive readouts on project proposals, plans, status, and execution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.

10 years of experience with a combination of Big 4 accounting and industry/corporate accounting.

Strong hardware, software and SaaS revenue recognition knowledge in the areas of ASC 606, and related revenue recognition pronouncements under US GAAP.

Experience with a high-growth and fast-paced company, ideally in the Software and Hardware industry.

Experience with multiple business models such as SaaS, on-premise licenses, hardware and services.

CPA preferred, but not required.

Great interpersonal skills to collaborate with different individuals across the organization.

Ability to collaborate and partner with all levels of management and be able to relate to their needs and perspectives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Great organization skills, to be able to manage and prioritize several different activities in parallel.

Ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity as required.

Experience working with ERP systems including NetSuite, SAP and SFDC. Ability to create reports and dashboards is a plus.
