Regional\u00A0Environmental\u00A0Manager in Training\u00A0- Location to be determined based on the person and the companies need!\u00A0 Must be willing to travel!This position is responsible for\u00A0managing information systems, reports and communications regarding environmental\u00A0compliance\u00A0at\u00A0all of our\u00A0locations.\u00A0\u00A0You will participate with the environmental team in developing and\u00A0maintaining standards and training documents.\u00A0\u00A0Under the direction of the\u00A0Head of\u00A0Environmental, serve as an organizer, facilitator, analyst and problem-solver on environmental compliance with the goal of zero environmental exceedances.\u00A0\u00A0You will be responsible for auditing and assisting with compliance at 2 to 3 complexes.\u00A0\u00A0Program areas include water, wastewater, air, and hazardous substances and wastes.The Willingness and Ability to Learn New ThingsIf you want to come to work every day and do the same repetitive tasks, this job may not be the best fit.\u00A0\u00A0There are\u00A0certainly\u00A0aspects of this job that will be repetitive, but you will\u00A0be working on a variety of projects,\u00A0and building\u00A0analyses and processes\u00A0from\u00A0the\u00A0ground up.\u00A0 At times, you will\u00A0be challenged to become a subject matter expert on something that you previously had no knowledge of.\u00A0\u00A0There will be\u00A0plenty of support\u00A0and guidance,\u00A0but\u00A0you will\u00A0need to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone\u00A0at times.Key Responsibilities: Provide analytical support and information to\u00A0environmental team,\u00A0heads of operations,\u00A0and\u00A0complex managers Travel to and audit / support 2 or 3 Complexes with multiple facilities each Prepare\u00A0and distribute weekly,\u00A0monthly\u00A0and quarterly\u00A0environmental\u00A0reports Create, and, when necessary, improve\u00A0analyses of\u00A0environmental\u00A0data Identify and analyze compliance gaps Maintain\u00A0environmental web-based databases\u00A0and SharePoint filing system Coordinate the electronic filing and storage of permit documents Work on\u00A0a\u00A0range of projects with a company-wide effect,\u00A0relating to:\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0 Development of standard operating procedures\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0 Implementation and tracking of training Respond to frequent requests for one-off analyses of smaller-scale issues Work in successful partnership with\u00A0Complex\u00A0environmental managers to assist in ensuring regulatory compliance and to develop action plans to close gaps. Track federal and state environmental regulatory developments affecting the food industry and effectively develop and communicate actions plans for compliance with new or pending regulations.\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0 Excellent people skills required to maintain good relationship with internal customers. Ability to influence change and to handle multiple issues and projects simultaneously.\u00A0 Some travel required (not more than 25%)\u00A0Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position\u00A0The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required for the position:\u00A0A bachelor\u2019s degree in a science related field (engineering, environmental science etc.) or completion of a master\u2019s program that has a significant environmental component;\u00A0Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work tasks simultaneously; Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting. Strong attention to details; Strong analytical skills; Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills; Self starter who can complete daily activities with minimal no supervision; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products; Excellent organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work;\u00A0\u00A0Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments; Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities; and the Willingness and ability to perform other unrelated duties as required and learn new processes and technologies.
