Terminal Manager

The Terminal Manager is part of the Distribution Operations leadership team in a single site but part of a regional cluster of teams that manage Distribution assets in the US East Region. This position sits in the Northeast Cluster or terminals in Providence, RI, New Haven, CT, and Lawrence, NY. The positions are being posted for Providence and New Haven Terminals. Distribution Operations is in the business of safely storing, handling, and distributing our products to end users in the geography described above reaching up to 8 million end users! Our products include gasolines, latest generation bio diesels, aviation fuel, and ethanol to fuel our automobiles, air travel, fleets, and heating our homes.

What is the role

Terminal Manager is local leader of a team of Terminal Operators at the Providence or New Haven Supply and Trading Distribution Terminal. The Terminals are large marine facilities that store and distributes gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and ethanol via a marine dock, rail car offloading rack, and truck and marine vessel loading facilities. The Terminal Manager is responsible and accountable for safe operation of personnel and facility and works under the direction of the Facilities Manager for the Northeast Terminals Cluster consisting of Providence, RI, New Haven, CT, and Long Island, NY terminals.

Terminal Manager is expected to provide front line leadership to employees who work in a safety sensitive environment that operates 24x7x365 days per year.

Terminal Manager coordinates product handling, loading, unloading plans, ensures compliance of all Company, State, Federal, and Local regulations and policies. Terminal Manager is part of a staff of three peers that handle and cross train in the other two facilities in the Cluster and assumes on call duties for the other sites in a rotation with the peer Terminal Managers. Terminal Manager is expected to become Skill level in all facets of terminal operations including product handling, LOD1, team and personnel management, compliance activities as required by Company, contractor management including PTW, marine operations, maintenance oversight activities, MOC Management, emergency response procedures, customer facing activities, railcar handling procedures, Process Safety Management Principles, and truck loading activities. TA-3 Certification expected at the end of the first year in position. Prior operations experience and supervision is preferred but can also be trained in these facets. It is a dynamic and exciting environment where one can get exposed to so many competencies for personal development. Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis

College or University Degree preferred in Management, Logistics, Engineering, Human Resources or related field

Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience

Prior management and/or supervisory experience preferred
