The Director, Planning and Design will be responsible for oversight of design operations standards and performance. The scope of this role includes all lines of business. Supports Market Development in Network Expansion activities related to Design. They will develop standards and drive adherence, acting as a liaison across division stakeholders. They will QC standards and drive accountability on Design BPs through performance and funnel management. They will partner with the technical standards team to create, communicate, drive, measure and monitor compliance. They will drive the Design tool business requirements (IRIS/Iris Web Viewer) and tool rationalization/burndown.

About the Role:

What You'll Do:
Liaisons - Represents the Planning Design and Construction function from an national perspective by partnering across multiple teams in HQ and Divisions. Collaborates with user experience experts and product specialists to define, prioritize, and drive shared initiatives.
Builds and Delivers - Works to define and translate requirements into complex experience frameworks, workflows, etc. Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the planning and design experience. Understands the Business - Ability to quickly learn from subject-matter-experts, gain trust, and understand key program metrics and metric analysis. Ensures alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions.
Connects - Can look across the program landscape to identify dependency chains, risks, to escalate to leadership, raise and set up meetings with stakeholders to address and resolve.
Drives the Work - Takes on challenges without unnecessary planning, steps up to identify roles and responsibilities to drive solutions. Establishes and adheres to timelines.
Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
8 years HFC and Fiber Network design experience
3 years Project Management experience
10 years industry or telecommunications experience
ISP plant experience is a plus (building/cabinet facilities including HVAC and AC/DC power)
Well-versed in HFC architecture
HFC Network Design Specifications and symbology
Understanding of CATV standards and terminology
HFC, Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Passive Optical Network (PON) architecture
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time with accuracy
Ability to drive consensus and facilitate decision making
Ability to raise escalations and risks to forecast
Certifications and/or Licenses (Preferred, not required):
Industry and vendor specific certifications and training a plus (HFC Design, Spatial info, Bentley COMMS, Lode Data or GE Smallworld, NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)

Salary:
Pay Range: $146,963.04 - $220,444.57
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
