Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Contract Management, Drafting & Negotiation
Review, redline and negotiate a high volume and a broad range of mid-level
and complex vendor contracts, including master services agreements,
procurement agreements, statements of work, consulting agreements,
non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, SAAS, software licensing or
other IT-related agreements, and other various goods and services agreements
Project management of strategic procurement initiatives; liaise with
leadership to provide contract-related updates
Thoughtfully lead and collaborate throughout the contracting and legal review
processes by clearly and effectively communicating issues, escalating issues
to legal, business and functional stakeholders as required, coordinating
and documenting necessary approvals, and timely driving contracts to execution
Develop and effectively articulate creative solutions and mitigation
strategies for key negotiation points to achieve timely and beneficial results
Independently manage all contracts from inception to completion
Process Improvement
Manage the development and maintenance of contracting playbooks, including
best practices, unique business issues and clause libraries
Partner with commercial legal team to enhance clause library to help
standardize terms and improve contracting efficiency
Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and
maintain standardized contract approval processes
Maintain and update team SOPs as well as business-facing job aids
Continuously identify, manage and implement process efficiencies and
automations and work with IT to identify and pilot tools to enhance
contracting processes
Project management and implementation of new CLM tool
Analytics
Use existing reports to update leadership on contract-related metrics and work
with IT to develop reports on key performance indicators
Utilize data to identify contracting trends and forecast team needs
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify comprehensive contract
pipeline
Leadership
Train, mentor and coach internal teams on contract processes and best
practices
Potential for oversight of a Contract Manager in future.
Facilitate alignment through effective communication with internal
stakeholders and vendors to promptly negotiate contracts and resolve issues
Lead special projects and assignments, as required
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree
7 years of experience in contract management supporting a wide range of
transactional matters, preferably in procurement/supply chain
Experience managing processes, identifying and implementing process
improvements and project management
CLM experi nce required
Experience negotiating contracts for the procurement of indirect services and
direct/indirect products a plus
Experience in healthcare or a highly regulated industry a plus
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook and Salesforce
