RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the day-to-day service solutions of an assigned team and/or sub-contractors to ensure services are delivered in a safe, compliant, and timely manner within budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises, plans, directs, and schedules day-to-day and long-range activities for defined Pharma Services scope, and ensures all programs and procedures of the Pharma Services staff are being properly implemented.
Reviews work to ensure compliance with performance, safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements, as well as with all company policies, standards, and procedures.
Reviews and updates LIS equipment, maintenance and calibration procedures, and LTS (Laboratory Technical Services) procedures.
Processes performance metrics; tracks, analyzes, and reports performance in terms of quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction. Takes corrective action to bring about required change and ensures contract requirements have been executed at a level above the specified standards.
Manages contractor specifications, problems/issues, performance, and administration.
Ensures supply of spare parts and consumables for in-scope Pharma Services.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred. Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training. Associates degree preferred in scientific field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience.
Five years relevant field experience in laboratory and / or manufacturing pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated environments required. Knowledge of analytical instrument maintenance and / or laboratory technical services. applicable regulatory guidelines and audit experience.
Previous supervisory experience is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Experience with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite, and Online Help.
Through understanding and knowledge of national and international standards relating to metrology quality systems.
Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature, flow and pressure. Demonstrable skills in analytical instrument maintenance and / or laboratory technical services.
