Position Summary
As the Senior Director of the DH, you will oversee upwards of 500 salaried and hourly employees in a fast-paced, million square foot facility. You will lead a team of Operations Leaders to achieve operational excellence through coaching and mentoring, driving employee engagement, continuously improving processes and building a great team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
May include, but are not limited to the following:
Leads the use of capital to optimize productivity and enable capacity in order to optimize total cost.Ensures the establishment of operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
Establishes distribution policies in the areas of materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling and customer satisfaction.Recommends and implements strategic changes in distribution and global operations strategy.
Builds, develops and manages an operations leadership team capable of carrying out Under Armour’s operations strategies.
Responsible for the operations and production budget, ensuring compliance with organizational expenditure requirements. Also achieving optimum labor while driving towards the least amount of overhead and material costs in the Distribution operation.
Alerts executive team of any service, cost or labor overruns and makes recommendations, implementing solutions to problems relating to same.Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing daily work assignments; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education And / Or Experience

MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering field, with at least 10 years of related experience in a Distribution environment; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience in the apparel and/or footwear industries strongly preferred.
Direct responsibility for apparel Distribution Center startups transitioning to full operations, is critical.
A proven track record of building strong teams with great results to include attracting great talent and building and maintaining strong relationships across the enterprise.
A sincere and contagious passion to take the brand to new levels and drive the future of UA Distribution.
Smart, creative, and driven. Not afraid to lead others past their comfort zone(s). Creates a sense of urgency and brings tasks to completion.
Other Requirements
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Subject matter expert in all functions of distribution.
Experience in the apparel industry strongly preferred.
Highly skilled with Manhattan WMS & LM package is required. DEMATIC IQ, SAP, JIRA, MIRO a plus.
