As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of disruptive digital innovation by co-creating an amazing engineering user experience within Best Buy's Engineering Productivity team.

Initiatives in this area will help transform and augment an engineer's toolbelt to help drive the next evolution of our developer productivity products. You will help define and communicate the mission to simplify and accelerate the software development experience. You will deeply understand and triangulate across technical engineering needs, platform product analytics, and external industry innovation to offer best-in-class experiences.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will collaborate with multiple engineering teams and product managers to reimagine the engineer's user experience as they deliver their products to market. You will manage the portfolio of product strategy for productivity tooling, enable ideation for opportunity discovery, build product roadmaps, and prioritize work for an Agile development team. You will also use your product toolkit and agile ninja skills to ensure that the sub-teams have a vision, set direction and that they produce results.

We are looking for a candidate who has a high degree of technical aptitude to understand complex systems and architecture and someone with a passion for setting vision and inspiring teams.

Minimum Requirements

2 years of relevant Product Management Experience (Dev, UX, Strategy, etc.)

1 year of indirect team management/leadership/work direction

1 year of relevant experience in strategy creation, customer-focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, etc.

1 year of relevant experience as an application developer or directly supporting application developers in tooling or pipelines capacity

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of experience working with digital analytics, customer journey empathy maps, storyboarding, or similar product tools

A healthy blend of high-level technical knowledge to understand complex architectural diagrams and data flows with a customer-focused mindset and empathy

1 year of experience crafting OKRs, Value Stream Mapping, and other tools that extract customer needs clearly and concisely for infusion into the product delivery goals

Product management of Cloud or Container Platform or Engineering Tools experience (Cloud Native and/or e-Commerce applications)

Has functional knowledge of one of the cloud service providers – AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/Oracle Cloud

Has functional knowledge of container technologies (Docker, CRI-O, rktlet, containerd, Microsoft Containers) and Cluster Management Technologies (Kubernetes, Istio and Envoy, Apache Mesos, Docker Swarm)

Understanding of agile methodology, DevOps, configuration management, continuous integration / continuous delivery, test-driven development, information security, and compliance standards
