Aon is looking for an AVP, Collateral Protection Insurance Project Manager As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions.Position summary:The AVP, CPI Project Manager (PM) will support the delivery of Aon’s Collateral Protection Insurance product within its innovated Intellectual Property Solutions group. The PM is responsible for supporting and performing all aspects of the projects throughout the deal’s lifecycle (prioritize, initiate, plan, implement, control, monitor, and close). This position will report into the Vice President, Head of Project Management Office within the IP Solutions team. To effectively coordinate the activities of the team, the candidate must be familiar with project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. The PM will play an important role coordinating internal and external cross-functional teams, coordinating and facilitating meetings, developing and maintaining project timeline, identifying risks and issues, communicating status to senior leadership and executive level management, and raising, as appropriate.The PM will ensure designated projects are successfully implemented, working strategically with the business unit and leadership. They will also be responsible for continuous improvement activities around program and project delivery, raising the maturity and capabilities of project delivery subject area.Specific hands-on experience working within Insurance, Finance, Legal or Intellectual Property project environments would a big plus though not disqualifying.The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and management skills and the ability to deliver complex, fast-moving projects on time. The PM will also manage continuous-improvement initiatives and internal projects that are formally initiated.Position responsibilities:Lead multi-faceted projects across several lines of business and/or organizations.Implement complex, large-scale projects.Manage project lifecycle from project inception to completion.Estimate project costs and maintain budgets/assist with client invoicingNavigate and communicate vertically (from executive-level to technical/detailed level) is critical.Identify developing issues that jeopardize scope, timeline, risk, and/or budget.Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed/diverse organization.Develop and drive useful plans aligned to strategic vision and goals.Prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously, under tight time constraints.Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate client acceptance.Manage expectations of collaborators and team members by providing appropriate level of reporting and confirming team alignment.Motivate the team using appropriate tools and techniques to increase commitment to project objectives.Measure project performance to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all partners.Recognize contributions & praise people for doing a good job.Build mutual trust and encourage respect and cooperation among team members.Assist with project invoicing.Required qualifications:BA / BS Degree.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager.Candidate must have hands-on project management experience leading complex, cross-functional, fast-moving projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or other project management software), Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint. (site creation and administration)Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Experience in presenting to and interacting with senior management of client organizations.Ability to estimate project costs and maintain project budgets.Demonstrable skills and experience in mediation, negotiation, presentation, and conflict resolution.Ability to communicate and present to senior partners.
