We are looking for a Global Director of Infrastructure Platform Engineering with good knowledge and ability to communicate effectively understanding complex problems and explain their solution. The position is well-suited for an organized individual who identify and solve enterprise-wide infrastructure challenges in the Linux Domain (This includes a focus on vision, future direction, and initiative roadmap for strategic technology programs)
You will be responsible to:
Bring -big picture- thinking and vision and work with others to design and develop next phase of applications and initiatives to meet fast growing business demands
Help lead a transformation of existing products through a scalable platform transformation by participating in product development activities such as architecture, design, prototyping, implementation and review
Lead a team of competent systems engineers to leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices)
Support business and development process using Lean Architecture and Agile methodologies.
Use broad knowledge and experience of systems administration and networking principles to proactively prevent and address incidents while constantly improving processes
Accountable for efficiently managing multi vendor infrastructure support contracts
You are someone who has:
BS in Computer Science or in any related field and Industry certifications in Red Hat, AWS, Azure technologies
3 years of OpenShift, Docker or Kubernetes experience
3 years of automation experience with either Bash, Terraform, Python, Go, and Ansible
Strong API and RESTful web services development experience, JSON, XML, YAML,
Experience in Jenkins, Git, Bamboo, Bitbucket or general CI/CD experience
At least 10 years’ experience in System Administration of Linux servers (Redhat), HP/Netapp Storage and monitoring systems.
Experience or knowledge with Cloud and designing applications that can run in a cloud environment such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
Experience managing enterprise size (1000 ) RH server installation.
Strong leadership quality to manage a team of 10 admins.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Good to Haves:
Experience with other open-source tools a big plus
Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
