Description
The Product Management Principal is responsible for all phases of the product life cycle for the Employee Collaboration and Productivity Solution product line, from inception to introduction into the user base and ultimate turnover/retirement. This role is critical to ensure effective monitoring of product health and drives customer/stakeholder feedback and discovery mechanisms. Evolves products over time to ensure ongoing achievement of product goals and drives innovation through anticipating customer needs in alignment with industry trends and opportunities. Provides strategic advice and guidance to executive stakeholders to influence vision, develop OKRs (Outcomes and Key Results), and define strategic portfolio Epics. Accountable for Feature definition in alignment with OKRs and portfolio Epics.
The Product Management Principal understands the strategic vision and strategy of the enterprise and develops a product vision and roadmap in support of that vision and strategy. Works with end users and stakeholders to understand and solve for/reconcile their needs. Provides clear guidance to a group of Product Owners and delivery/product teams on customer needs and expected product outcomes, but empowers teams to make decisions on how to achieve these outcomes, via Story definition. During Program Increment/iteration (PI) planning sessions, presents strategic direction, priorities, and features/capabilities to be delivered in the PI. This role is responsible for communicating product progress to key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The Principal Product Manager, Enterprise Collaboration Technology
will focus on:
Being a visionary in defining the product
Owns product strategy for hybrid work styles in a post-Covid era. Key aspects of this strategy will include partnership with corporate facilities leadership to define and enable new collaborative/teaming workspaces.
Product strategy and execution of cloud migrations to rapidly position our workforce for optimized collaboration and future extensibility. This will require strategic reconciliation of incumbent products, rigorous migration plans, and re-imagining our product and experience measurement paradigms.
Implement and sustain a product decision and governance framework to ensure enterprise alignment to the program vision and strategy, aimed at increasing likelihood of achieving desired outcomes and minimizing waste
Implementing a product-centric operating model in alignment with agile methodology maturation
Delivering through new ways of working
Influences the maturation of the Agile program and associated processes to drive a more human/user-centric way or working
Understands the needs of the end user community as well as the differing customer types and acts as their spokesperson within the product while unblocking issues and driving delivery
Owns product line feature backlog and collaborates on prioritizing dependencies across enterprise stakeholders and consumers
Works closely with program Product Owners and Scrum Masters to maintain ongoing alignment
Desired Qualifications:
Proven enterprise-level technology product leadership responsibility, leading a group of product managers/owners in pursuit of transformative outcomes
Deep technical and market knowledge of collaboration, productivity, and mobility technology solutions/services,
Deep understanding of impact of networking and end-user computing to collaboration and productivity solutions, to inform well-aligned strategies and dependency management
Proven ability to move with incredible speed, driving and making decisions in a complex environment where information may not always be complete, but mitigation strategies must be leveraged to ultimately deliver high-quality products
Expert communicator - uncanny ability to uncover the true needs of customers by avoiding and managing bias, highly comfortable communicating and driving alignment in 360 degrees, strong/active listener, writes and speaks effectively and well-versed in product and HCD discovery techniques
A strategic, long-term thinker with proven ability to define/implement tactically and demonstrate linkage to long-term, planned outcomes

Required Qualifications
Bachelors' Degree
5 years technology leadership experience
4 years experience owning enterprise-scale technology products, including hands-on experience with human-centered research, design, and discovery techniques
5 years in-depth technology experience in the workforce collaboration and productivity tooling domains
3 years experience working in an agile (e.g. SAFe) environment and leading decentralized teams
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to drive effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders
Ability to make informed decisions in a high-pressure environment
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving the technology-driven experiences of our Humana workforce
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of product line/group leadership experience - responsible for a program or portfolio comprised of multiple products, owned by respective Product Manager/Owner(s)
Agile Certification e.g. SAFe® 5 APM or equivalent
Work experience in a health care and /or insurance industry
Relevant Master's degree
