Profile

The Business Strategy department is the strategy and transformation function for Tommy Hilfiger (TH) North America. In this capacity, the department supports the TH North America management  in structuring strategic thinking, formulating multiyear strategies, and running strategic transformation projects throughout the business: along the value chain from merchandising and design, to product development, sourcing and logistics; as well as in the various distribution channels, markets, and partnerships.

We also closely collaborate with the Global Business Development departments of TH, CK (Calvin Klein), and our Corporate Holding Company (PVH). We support C level management, product divisions’ management (e.g. menswear, womenswear), functional departments’ management (e.g. supply chain and logistics), the central and country commercial retail and wholesale organizations’ management.

Reporting into the Business Strategy Sr. Director(s), the Business Strategy Analyst will work alongside our team members in the execution of strategic initiatives that boost our organization’s efficiency, effectiveness and overall performance. Analytical thinking, problem solving, project and stakeholder management and ensuring the highest quality of work are essential elements of this role. In addition, you will be directly responsible for collecting and analyzing data to help evaluate opportunities and make actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the Tommy Hilfiger business. Develop a strong understanding of industry and market trends, competitive intelligence and consumers
  • Support in developing, analyzing, and prioritizing potential strategic opportunities across all areas of the business, including brand, product, marketing, distribution, channel, geography and operations
  • Collect and analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, translate into strategic and actionable insights for the business, develop recommendation for the business and build roadmap to execution
  • Assist in the implementation of initiatives through project management, tracking of progress and key performance indicators, as well as identification and mitigation of project risks
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative content for ongoing strategic deliverables such as monthly business updates, strategy meetings, Board of Director updates, and executive off-sites
  • Provide ad-hoc activities and analysis as needed
  • Support facilitation of meetings and workshops with all the levels of the organization
  • Lead the implementation of pilot tests, partnerships, and other corporate development activities to drive our long-term strategy priorities
  • Foster collaboration through sharing of knowledge and best practices

Qualifications:

  • MBA, graduate degree, or equivalent practical experience in a technical, quantitative, or business field; currently enrolled MBA candidates may be considered
  • At least 1 year of experience in management consulting or similar in-house position (experience in a highly analytical and strategic role). Experience in corporate finance or investment banking, a strong plus
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of the retail industry—including units such as retail math, retail KPIs—a strong plus
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills. Ability to deal with new & complex topics, interpret data, spot trends, draw conclusions
  • Outstanding people and relationship skills; ability to interact with different levels of a multi-cultural, international organization, building strong and trusting relationships
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, Power point, Project, Word
  • Flexible, and able to perform and thrive in a highly dynamic work environment, working across all levels
  • Independent, hands-on, able to prioritize, results-oriented and structured in their work approach, while being able to perform at a high level in a team environment
  • Ability to deal with a new and wide variety of topics; intellectual curiosity, a must
  • Ambitious, highly motivated and with a focus on developing professional growth
  • High standard of ethics, integrity and confidentiality
  • Passion for the fashion and apparel industry
  • A strong communicator/storyteller to all levels
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
