invites applications for a
Program Manager
to join their team. This position manages all aspects of Education Abroad experiences for students, including advising, support, outreach, and communication. The position is the manager and technical expert on Terra Dotta, the software MUS uses to manage its international travel registry and other Education Abroad functions. This position supervises up to 4 education abroad interns and has the following essential duties and responsibilities assigned:
Advises incoming exchange students/outgoing UM students pursuing educational opportunities abroad
Serves as primary advisor to all incoming and outgoing students in all aspects of their exchange and education abroad experiences including academic advising, credit
transfer, travel paperwork, visa procurement, etc.
Assists applicants throughout the application, pre-departure and re-entry process
Conducts pre-departure, while abroad and re-entry programming for all outgoing students and assists the Director with the “Preparing for a Successful Education Abroad” course.
Access as a liaison between exchange students and University of Montana Student Services
Assumes leadership role and provides technical expertise for Terra Dotta Software and user experience for GEO and UM community
Processes all incoming exchange and education abroad applications
Ensures timely and effective customer service to faculty, staff, students, and parents
Ensures accurate and reliable information is available to faculty, staff, students and parents on all aspects of Education Abroad, including international risk management
Supervises, trains, and supports Education Abroad interns
Helps develop, implement, and ensure compliance with all Education Abroad and UM
International Travel policies and procedures
Manages and maintains website for education abroad, and incoming exchange students.
Serves as liaison with other UM Student Service offices to ensure smooth, efficient, and effective coordination of activities, as well as working to foster strong working relationships with them.
Manages, maintains, and continuously improves knowledge of Terra Dotta software for reporting/analysis purposes
Trains interns and other UM employees in use of Terra Dotta software
Required Skills

Minimum Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree or any combination of experience and education that provides the competencies necessary to successfully discharge the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience studying or living abroad.
