Job Summary

Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.

The Next Generation Access Network (NGAN) organization is a highly agile, fast paced, and dedicated group at the forefront of change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable access network for our customers.

About the Team:

Our team is at the epicenter of Comcast’s construction universe! P2 is a sophisticated National Construction Platform. This system is responsible for construction workflow management, financial audit, user management, and more! Join our team as a Senior Manager of Software Engineering. This role will make a direct impact enterprise-wide across both internal and external partners.

What You'll Do:

Leads all aspects of the planning and designing of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements and modifications.

Provides guidance to the Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as primary point of contact and liaison between Software Engineering and other teams.

Directs implementation initiatives for new software products and applications. Organizes software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.

Manages all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications and budgets. Implements performance metrics and prepares period reports and/or proposals. Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership team.

Ensures all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.

Communicates across multiple levels of the organization to lead teams, both directly and indirectly, and build phenomenal experiences.

Manages cross-project communications.

Skills and Experience We're Looking For:

Natural curiosity and passion for creating software

Ability to “tell a story” about the problem that needs to be solved

Collaborates with clear communication and a positive, results-oriented approach with internal teams and departments

Have a technical mentality and a high-level understanding of building software products with: Java, Clojure, Redis, Kafka, HashiCorp, AWS

Computer science degree is helpful
