Purpose/Objective of the job
Acts as a strategic business partner across the VAP organization and its strategic business partners to provide innovative and flexible training solutions that drive efficiencies and sharing of best practice. Works directly with POCS and SPM to ensure the training strategy is implemented and aligned with the needs of the learners and the objectives of the business.
Key Responsibilities and Major Duties
Team Leadership
Support Director of VAP T&TD in developing a positive team culture and ensuring key partnerships with prioritized business partners are established and maintained
Build and develop a team that is capable of driving change and achieving the team's objectives
Embody and coach others in developing an innovation and growth mindset that seeks to identify and leverage new approaches and capabilities to achieve the team's vision
Ensure team members are not siloed and cross-functional best practices are shared
Provide input into defining and overseeing the attainment of key performance indications (KPIs) for the team and the business
Account Management Excellence
Leverage relevant field experience and knowledge of account management and US Healthcare landscape to provide strategic partnership to VAP leadership, business partners and T&TD team members
Actively work with VAP T&TD team members and key internal business partners to monitor changes and trends in healthcare landscape through various resources and understand business impact
Establish relationships with key stakeholders from VAP customer facing matrix teams to acquire understanding of roles, respective responsibilities and training needs, including but not limited to Account Executives, Field HEOR, and Field Reimbursement Managers
Have proficient understanding of the selling environment for key customer segments and account stakeholders
Actively identify and contribute to the team's design and delivery of Landscape & Access Environment Training
Training Solution Design, Planning and Management
Adept at conducting needs analysis and coaching T&TD team members to identify field training needs and develop recommendations for VAP training investment strategy based on training gaps
Create best-in-class training plans in-line with prioritized business, POCS and or brand objectives in collaboration with cross functional VAP matrix teams
Partner with POCS fit and hybrid teams to incorporate the voice of the learner and customer into training solutions
Have or be able to quickly develop a proficient understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design to ensure learner-friendly training and to support POCS and SPM in the design and or development of their prioritized training solutions and plans
Have or be able to quickly develop skills associated with virtual learning, including the use of adobe connect and other virtual learning platforms
Facilitate learning experiences of any size in both live and virtual settings
Able to evaluate and provide constructive feedback on learning design documents and final deliverables
Able to evaluate and select strong 3rd party vendors to support training needs as appropriate
Matrix Team Management
Manage a large number of stakeholders, navigate a complex planning and design process, and provide strategic guidance related to learning and development specific needs POAs and other large launch meetings
Partner with appropriate Brand Trainers to leverage knowledge and resources as appropriate
Provide strategic direction and oversight to the VAP Hybrid Trainers who will be supporting the training team as subject matter experts
Establish strong relationships with medical, regulatory and compliance review boards and acquire knowledge of the review process
Operational Excellence
Establish processes to collect and communicate feedback regularly and propose improvements as needed
Develop methods to measure the business impact of training activities
Manage, monitor and ensure performance to budget
Proficient in building succinct and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations to communicate to senior leadership
Design & deliver an onboarding program for new hires in VAP organization
Manage an operational budget and provide input into planning, resource allocation, and execution of training solutions, experiences and resources related to US VAP organization
Own project management activities relating to field training initiatives for VAP and regularly update the VAP leadership or respective business partners on the progress, risks, and potential delays

List of minimum requirements
BA/BS degree required; Master's Degree/MBA preferred
Significant and recent field or account management experience (>5 years)
Experience in training (>1 years) preferred
Some experience managing or coaching teams of 3 or more
Ability to act as a leader and an active contributor, working effectively in the matrix culture
Deep knowledge of account management and the key customer segments within and trends impacting the US Healthcare landscape
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and respectfully challenge
Proficient understanding of adult learning principles and learning design
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong project management experience with ability to set priorities, delegate tasks, stay on schedule under tight timelines, and where change is both dynamic and a given
Demonstrated high attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness and follow-through
Ability to set objectives, monitor and achieve performance
Software that must be used independently and without assistance (e.g., Microsoft Suite) Microsoft Office, Adobe Connect
