Description
The Associate Director, Technology M&A performs research, IT financial analysis and modeling in advance of an acquisition in order to identify risks and synergy opportunities associated with a Target company's organization, technology capabilities, processes, applications, and infrastructure. The Associate Director, Technology M&A requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Technology M&A and Program Management oversees Acquisition integration programs of a highly complex nature. This role requires an in-depth understanding of how organizational capabilities bridge across functions and segments, to devise an effective strategy for execution and delivery on IT business initiatives, enterprise-wide. She/He will monitor and measure relevant performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of IT resources and optimize performance through process improvement activities.
The Associate Director, Technology M&A and Program Management will be responsible for effective management of contractor and full time project managers Associates working on acquisition efforts. She/he will assemble and lead project teams, identify the appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of acquisition and integration projects. Responsible for managing cross-functional stakeholder partnerships, including but not limited to infrastructure projects and security initiatives to mitigate risks to Humana. Requires a strong ability to establish familiarity with the system scopes and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each respective team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities across our team. When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer-term business value. Preferred skillsets and knowledge of M&A Lifecycles, Technology Assets, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes. The role will work to implement strategic plans, drive goals and objectives, improve contractor performance, while providing input into functional strategy.
Additionally, the Associate Director, Technology M&A and Program Management collaborates with the business integration team, IMO, and the IT technical staff to align the IT portfolio and business demand. She/he will work in forecasting acquisition timelines to optimize programs and products that maximize speed to value and acquisition effectiveness. The ideal candidate will contribute to enhancement of innovative approaches impacting financial models as they build knowledge of the business context in which they operate. The role requires understanding and analysis of complex data, articulation to various stakeholders within the company at the appropriate levels, driving impact to the business from mathematical concepts which have a potentially sizeable dollar impact on the business.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree
12 or more years of program and change management experience
10 or more years of technical management experience
Solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
Possess progressive experience leading continuous improvement efforts, evaluating existing systems and implementing process improvements.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other Advanced Degree
Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
Six Sigma certification
PMP certification
Demonstrated ability to run large scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams
