Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet the highest standards of compliance for food safety and quality within Tyson Prepared Foods Facilities. This includes: working with Plant FSQA managers to ensure FSQA policies and procedures are adhered to and to lend technical expertise when needed; investigating product complaints to determine cause and help determine solutions and interface directly with the customer; directing the continued development and implementation of new programs and or procedures at individual plant locations; interacting with appropriate governmental regulatory agencies such as USDA and FSIS; interacting with appropriate departments within Tyson Sales Marketing Engineering Operations Research and Development and Scheduling and internal external customers on quality and food safety related issues; updating developing and maintaining corporate FSQA programs and procedures. Other specific responsibilities include FSQA training and development; conducting plant audits reviews to provide overview of plant systems associated with regulatory food safety and product quality concerns; data review and analysis; other responsibilities as they are assigned or as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor s degree in a technical and or science related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 8 plus years of food safety quality assurance operations preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite, experience with ERP/SAP, product specification management, product develop applications.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory: Position will have direct reports at multiple locations.
Travel: Extensive - minimum 12 trips per year.
Location: This position can be based out of Chicago OR Springdale, AR
