Principal Product Manager – Container Native Data Services

Who are we looking for? Nutanix is looking for a seasoned, high energy Product Management professional to drive container native storage and data services initiatives at Nutanix. In this role, you will help identify target market segments and use-cases, research unmet customer needs, and drive compelling product strategy and roadmap for the Nutanix cloud platform.

Responsibilities

-Define and develop product strategy and roadmap for storage and data services for containerized applications. Translate market needs into product capabilities and directions.

-Evaluate customer and market trends through customer interviews, workload analysis, partnerships, community, and competitive analysis as part of product planning.

-Write detailed actionable product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories.

-Partner with engineering and manage the product lifecycle from product definition to product release.

-Partner with marketing to provide positioning and messaging as well as contribute to GTM enablement. Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to Nutanix sales teams.

-Collaborate with Engineering, Solutions, Support, Sales and Partner teams on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

-BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required. MBA a plus.

-3 years of experience in product management or a similar technical product or customer facing role.

-Experience with enterprise storage, distributed systems, virtualization, data center / cloud infrastructure or associated domains.

-Experience with Kubernetes or other modern orchestration environments.

-Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or open-source communities a plus.

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

-Ability to be self-motivated towards the achievement and measurement of established goals.

-Attention to detail in executing complex projects. Strong bias for action.
