Aon is looking for a Broking Leader - Energy TeamAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our existing and new clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting the Energy team. As a broking leader for our Energy team, you will work with Clients, Associate Brokers, Brokers, Account Executives, and Power and Renewable Energy leadership. Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop, lead and manage a team of property brokers, including goal setting, performance appraisal, career development, budgeting and time managementManagement of book of business including servicing of individual accounts and participation in RFPs, due diligence and for new business development meetings. Delivering industry and line of business specific expertise (program design, estimated pricing, etc.Work with Power and Energy Broking Leaders on broking assignments and service deliverablesWork with Power and Renewable Energy leadership on innovations and solutions for the renewable energy property segmentAssist Energy leadership in strategic planning and execution for the renewable energy book growthProvide outstanding and timely service and support to clients, managers and account service teamsCreate renewal planning, strategy and problem-solving solutions; market submissions; and product design options to clients and account service teamsWorks independently and in groups, in a client-facing capacity, to provide advice on policy coverage, pricing, risk exposures and coverage availabilityFacilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with clients and account service teams. Works with Associate Brokers and Brokers to synthesize and analyze exposure data, loss history and unique coverage needs for submissionsReview and analyze quotes and binders to ensure appropriate coverageProvide status and continuous support and service to clients during the broking process and throughout the period of engagement by client (this is a continuous processDevelop, maintain and communicate thorough knowledge of the property insurance marketplace for renewable energy and other property products and servicesDeveloping productive business relationships with insurance underwriters including key markets to the power and renewable energy sector in order to provide best-in-class terms, coverage and pricingAdhere to all standard practices, including utilization of all available technology and analyticsDevelop and replicate effective products, solutions and work processesRetain and grow assigned clients/prospectsRecognize and develop opportunitiesAdhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activitiesCollaborate on thought leadership and industry publicationsAct as a mentor for associate brokers, brokers and other team membersEducation:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceSkills and Qualifications:Power and Renewable Energy Property brokering experience (15 years)Experience managing and training a skilled staffThorough knowledge of Renewable Energy Property insurance marketplace including products and servicesSuperior verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop, interpret and use data effectivelyAdvanced problem-solving and interpersonal skillsA team playerExperience in developing effective relationships with clients, underwriters and colleaguesProven track-record of managing accounts and working across multiple placements simultaneouslyEffective use of social media to deliver relevant information re: the Renewable Energy team’s marketing and other news information How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
