Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all activities duties and responsibilities that will successfully increase fresh beef and pork sales within a Specific Region; including establishing and serving new accounts requires physical examination of customer's facilities including loading dock, coolers and freezers for fresh beef and pork; working with existing fresh beef and pork accounts to increase market share; introducing and building sales of new products; investigating and resolving claims and credit issues may include entering a customer s warehouse and physically unstacking and restacking boxes of beef and pork in excess of 80 pounds; using a knife to trim cuts of beef or pork climbing into semi-trailers to count boxes or check temperature of the meat; and these job activities may necessitate entrance into a U.S.D.A inspected facility; conducting seminars for retail and food service accounts to sell and demonstrate may require merchandising cuts of meat with the use of a knife, band saw or grinder value of Tyson fresh beef and pork products.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience: 5 plus years experience in the fresh beef and pork industry in the areas of meat sales, meat merchandising, foodservice sales, or wholesale fresh meats operations.
Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills; Microsoft office.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong group presentation skills; strong written presentation skills required.
Special Skills: Beef and pork merchandising presenting to individual customers or larger groups which may require using a knife, band saw, or meat grinder.
Travel: 50% travel required; includes significant automobile travel as the job requires personally visiting customers.
Position Specific Requirements: Will be responsible for customers located in North Carolina and South Carolina and will be expected to reside in either one of these states.
