SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance department (leading and directing maintenance technicians), maintenance of production, equipment, buildings and utilities including offal and Wastewater Department. Responsibilities include: Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions; ensure that all maintenance personnel are well trained on the most updated version of operating equipment as well as other maintenance skills; manage and oversee the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment. Quickly assess problems to minimize downtime of production. Must possess knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures along with GMP practices to ensure all maintenance employees understand and follow the company policies and procedures ; provide a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs; monitor operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify issues; establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system SAP for tracking work orders adequate and appropriate inventory of replacement parts; make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems through analyzing data; ensure that all maintenance personnel are properly trained equipped and motivated so maintenance programs and processes can be accomplished in a safe timely and efficient manner; ensure the Costal Training system is in place and communicated to maintenance personnel and provide the resources for skillsets needed; maintain a tracking system that assists in analyzing key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization maintenance cost PM compliance etc. Other duties include: ensure all safety health OSHA and environmental policies and procedures are in compliance with company policy as well as local state and federal regulations; ensure safety program is communicated and enforced; monitor and administer purchasing and use of all parts and equipment materials and supplies utilized in the maintenance department; ensure wastewater systems are well maintained and meet all regulatory guidelines; administer the maintenance budget and ensure the achievement of financial goals.

REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 5 plus years maintenance experience. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; some public speaking skills. Special Skills: Industrial Maintenance in fields such as electrical, hydraulics and/or mechanical. Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar or interrelated tasks. Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
