This position, reporting to the Director of Sales – Prepared Deli, is responsible for the execution of the Tyson deli brands category strategies at the customer level that deliver Annual Operating Plan AOP profit targets by achieving targeted volume Gross Sales After Trade GSAT, Trade as a Percent of Revenue TAPR, merchandising, pricing and activation compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales of Prepared Deli products increasing market share and maintaining good customer relations with multiple contacts at Walmart
Category responsibilities include but not limited to cold deli lunchmeat service case, Grab & Go lunchmeat, Retail Ready UPC’d items and miscellaneous deli oriented snacking products.
Customizing; selling and implementing corporate strategies and Category Leadership programs with the customer.
Understanding the customers key objectives strategies and implementing collaborative business plans that deliver long-term mutual growth
Requires conducting product pricing and promotional programs
Response to customer questions and concerns on a variety of issues and resolution of inquiries in a timely manner
This position is the key point of contact with the Walmart buyers and Private Brands managers.
Key internal interactions will be with the Director of Sales, Sr. Customer Development Manager Team Performance Manager Customer, Insights Manager, CPFR Replenishment Managers, Retail Operations Team Leader, Customer Service Account Manager, Sales Strategy and Planning, Revenue Management Sales Operations and Marketing.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree - Required
Experience: 5 plus years of relevant CPG experience preferably to include a combination of Sales, Customer Management, Customer Trade Marketing and Category Management
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; high proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft software. Retail Link experience a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills (exceptional listening skills, persuasive and professional communicator) are required. Previous customer presentation/management is preferred
Special Skills:
Knowledge of internal systems and processes is a plus
Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking with a consumer lens is required.
