Responsible for ensuring that the BMS maximizes business outcomes by connecting experts and knowledge with business processes. Leads the strategy, vision & execution of an Enterprise Knowledge & Expert connections capability. Responsible for identifying, collecting, synthesizing, organizing and managing organizational skills, capabilities and knowledge in support of business units across the enterprise. Partner with Data Capability Groups, IT Business Partners & other Knowledge management organizations to collate information and skills for ease of use and gain organizational efficiency. Lead a team of 1-3 knowledge management professionals (contingent workforce) to achieve the Enterprise Information Search & Architecture objectives.
Responsibilities:
Formulate strategy and vision for Knowledge & Expert connections capabilities within the organization
Define business case and own outcomes for capabilities developed to support this - including business processes, technology and resources
Advocate & champion (communicate, promote, justify) organizational Knowledge and Expert connection agenda
Partner closely with the Digital Capability Manager (DCM) Search Technology & Platforms to implement solutions including using portals, intranets, databases etc.
Partner closely with the Data Partnering, Search Experience to ensure that users will get a seamless experience as they move from search to skills to knowledge repositories
Partner closely with enterprise leaders across each function to drive change, collect and collate skill capture solutions, analyze business social networks, increase awareness and promote skill collaboration tools.
Support wider accessibility to information & experts using a combination of self-service tools, advanced Machine Learning models and institutional knowledge.
Incorporate disparate expert management capabilities into a fewer set of solutions and make them available in the Enterprise Search solution.
Create and maintain a master catalog capturing organization expert & knowledge repositories
Required:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience is required. Master's degree in Business Administration or Information science is preferred
Proficient in Leadership, communication & coordination skills. Great to researching and problem solving.
3 years’ experience in an information technology related field within the life sciences industry. Experience across multiple functions within Life sciences - Commercialization, Manufacturing, R&D etc. is preferred
2 years' experience in analyzing and storytelling with data. Ability to present a value case for the organization.
Experience / awareness of solutions related to Library services, data management, knowledge management, intellectual capital management, skill management.
Ability to understand approaches to handling structured and/or unstructured data within the organization.
Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
Experience working with international team members and globally dispersed team
Experience deployment IT solutions in Information management or Library management space
