Quality Manager

Our client, a metal processing center located in the Wheeling area, seeks a quality manager.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This position is responsible for the management of Quality Assurance activates for the company. This will involve maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification and handing of the internal and external complaints. With thorough investigation of the customer complaints, and internal complaints, the root cause will be determined for effective corrective actions. Projects will be implemented for continuous improvement activities. Reports to Plant Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Continuously review and improve the quality control system

Investigate customer complaints to determine root cause and implement corrective actions and provide 8D reports to customers

Supervise QC Staff, QC lab. to support Sales, Production and other departments

Maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification, SOPs, Work Instructions and Quality records.

Review new items or existing items for feasibility and/or improving the quality capability.

Provide timely reports to Management for review for continuous Improvement and drive down the cost of bad Quality.
